Hi there, hope you all had a wonderful, bountiful thanksgiving. It seems that everyone has immediately moved on to the subject of Christmas.. us included, our family had to go buy a new Christmas tree last night… Sigmund, being Canadian is all about not killing a tree so yes, it’s plastic and I get what he’s saying but oh how I miss the smell and warm feeling a real tree gives you so if you’re one of those folks who went for the real thing.. enjoy;-)
ok.. so I am so bad right now about being inconsistent about blogging.. due to lots of stuff going on but I wanted to take a moment to tell you guys that I have switched gears a bit…. remember when I sent that email out asking you guys to tell me your favorite 5-10 songs from past records….well, thank you for those suggestions and they have been set aside for safe keeping but for now… what Im really feeling like doing.. is a Hymn record. I have been wrestling with it for a while.. do I do the sentimental fav’s or the hymn record…. and have finally decided to do the Hymn record:-) a women’s perogative.
So, yesterday, I started mapping out arrangements, songs, juggling my schedule with the two different producers I will co- produce this record with. They are both two of my best friends and I am so excited to work with each of them… I will mention that this the first time I have ever done a record with more than one producer but since the three of us will be working hand in hand through the whole process it should ensure that the record sounds cohesive etc….so.. I am doing some of my old favorites with a few original songs that hopefully sound like something you think you heard when you were a kid in church on sunday morning.
I will be blogging, taking pics and video along the way so you can walk along with me in the process.
Thanks for reading.. thanks for caring. Hope you are happy and blessed today.
God is still good.
xo,
cindy
ps… also we start rehearsals for the Gloria Christmas tour today…. will be posting some pics of that as well;-)

It love the idea of a hymn album! I love contemporary Christian music, but the timelessness of hymns is unsurpassed!
Definitely looking forward to this! I’m a big fan of your music. And I love hymns. Thanks.
What a fantastic idea! Hymns are so beautiful and so rarely heard these days. I grew up attending a small Baptist church where praise choruses were not the norm. However, the hymns were absolutely heavenly sung by our little congregation in four part harmony. Rock of Ages, Come Thou Fount and of course Be Thou my Vision are still my favorites. I’m excited for you and this next project.
