I was just outside on a walk… a light drizzle falling around me… gray skies over head. It seems that spring this year wants to make us wait and wait so that when it finally arrives we will feel in our hearts, true appreciation for such an arrival.
For some reason, the thought of spring made me think of the story of the prodigal son.
There is something about spring that makes you think of getting in a car and going somewhere and doing something you’ve never done before… rolling down the windows with the music turned up loud… feeling like you really could do almost anything! Almost anything…
I’m not saying that we need to forsake all but there was something kind of brave of the prodigal son (albeit unwise) to set off and go see what the world had to offer. I think there are always new chapters and windows in our lives that God brings along to see if we are willing to walk where we have never walked before… trust in a whole new way, risk on a whole new level. I don’t think we should blow the farm… just open up our minds.
Ok… so go, feel the sunshine if you can find it). Go and see what new and wondrous/scary thing God has for you.
Welcome Spring and whatever new adventure may come along with it.

Hi Cindy,
We have had rain here in Boston for three days straight. Today the sun is shining and it feels so good on my skin. Spring always makes me feel that world is full of possibilities! Yeah, happy spring!
